Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a technique utilizing fine stainless steel needles inserted at specific points in the body to correct various ailments. The stimulation of acupuncture points, using very fine needles, along the meridians releases the blockage and promotes the smooth flow of qi, restoring health. Acupuncture stimulates the body’s natural healing abilities, improves energy and promotes physical and emotional well-being.

Auricular Acupuncture

Auricular Acupuncture or ear acupuncture, is based on the idea that the ear is a microsystem which reflects the entire body. Auricular therapy is widely used for many conditions, including addiction treatment, mood disorders, obesity, pain, and other conditions.

Chinese Nutrition Therapy

Chinese Nutrition Therapy is different from Western nutrition in that it considers the energetic properties of food and the constitution of the individual. No one diet fits all. For example some foods have cooling properties which may be used on individuals experiencing overheated conditions. Energetic actions of food include building blood and moving qi (energy) in the body. Some foods considered “healthy” by Western nutrition may actually be inappropriate for certain individuals. For example, many people eat salad but if the person has digestive weakness (gas, bloating, diarrhea, fatigue) then this cold raw food actually worsens their condition. Using the energetic properties of foods, a practitioner may recommend the use or exclusion of certain foods for specific conditions.

Tui Na

Tui-Na is a form of Chinese body treatment (massage) used in facilitating healing and pain management. Manipulating the body with this type of massage promotes blood circulation and removes blood stasis.

Ear Acupressure

Ear Acupressure is where small seeds are attached to acupoints on the ear by adhesive tape. Seeds may remain on the ear for 3 – 5 days. Seeds are used commonly to treat addictions such as smoking plus other ailments.

Cupping

Cupping involves a localized suction produced by heating a small glass cup to produce a vacuum and placing it on the skin. It helps to mobilize blood flow, removes toxins and promotes healing.
